SAFETY THIRD!
Good news folks, while the mask mandate for Virginia is ending before this trail date, and we can stop bothering vaccinated people about their masks outdoors, unvaccinated hashers are still expected to wear their masks in circle and/or maintain their distance.
Everyone should still have their mask with them at start/end, and maybe soon we’ll be on the ball enough to start doing on-afters again!!!
DCH4 Trail #2145: 5/15/21 1pm onwards
Start: 6400 Beulah Street Alexandria VA 22310 – Back of parking lot by the picnic tables
Theme : San Isidro Day – Bailemos Chotis!
Time: by 1PM on Saturday, Nov 14 through Sunday, Nov 15.
Cost: $0, BYOB but there will be a beer/limonada check during certain hours on Saturday
Trail Deets: Chulapos y Chulapas, it’s time to dance the Chotis in the streets of Madrid! Can’t get there this year? We have our own San Isidro Festival in Alexandria. Have no idea what the hare is rambling about, google “San Isidro patron saint of Madrid”, Chotis, Chulopos/as. Kudos to those that dress appropriately.
Trail will be ready by 1pm on Saturday. If you’re on trail Saturday afternoon, expect some rosquillas y limonada. Low on the shiggy meter but PI protection recommended. Runners trail 4-5 miles, Walkers 2-3 miles.
- DCH4 is still iso-hashing so show up when you please but be mindful of crowds. Virginia is not requiring mask outdoors at this point but it’s advised if in a crowded area (which will be a low chance on this trail). Bring a mask on trail just in case
Getting there:
Driving: From I495, take Van Dorn Street Exit. Go south on Van Dorn Street. Take a right on Franconia Road. Left on Beulah Street. Look for “Alexandria Braces” just past the Franconia Fire Station. Turn into that parking lot.
Metro: Franconia/Springfield and FFX Connector Bus 310. Or go to Van Dorn Street and walk/uber to start location. Both on blue line.
Need Hares!
Listen up half minds! As of today (4/22/21) we have no more hares for the rest of 2021. Please sign up to hare, or there will be no trail. Contact the hareraiser Late Nite Drive Thru (latenitedrivethru@gmail.com) or your Grand Master Ass Spelunker (ass.spelunker.h3@gmail.com) if you would like to hare.
That is all, you can now go back to your regularly drunken lives.
