DCH4 trail #1986 – 1/6/2018 – SPECIAL START TIME OF 3:00pm!!!

Hares: WH4 Mismanagement

Where: Tyson’s Corner Metro Entrance (south side of Chain Bridge rd. By the mall parking lot)

Prelube: Starts 1:00pm at Barrel and Bushel (7901 Tyson’s One Pl, Tyson’s, VA – on the roof of the mall)

Trail starts at 3:00pm!!!

Trail description: A to A’ Short and flat (Just like your mom)

This is a Prelube to the WH4 AGM. If you haven’t registered yet, get to it!!!

On After: X-Treme Wings and Bar (8119 Watson st. McLean, VA)

Start: Takoma Park middle School – 7611 Piney Branch rd. Takoma Park, MD 20910

Time: 2:00pm

Hare’s: Ass Spelunker, Late Nite Drive Thru, and Lassie

Cost: $20

Details: One Beer check and eleven Shot checks as we stroll around Takoma Park for two miles Christmas caroling. On after will be at Spelunker’s and LNDT house (8010 Piney Branch rd. Silver Spring, MD – only a few blocks from the start). We will provide a full meal and a keg of Harp Premium Lager.

***Due to the copious amounts of alcohol consumed, crash space is highly encouraged***

This Saturday – The Island of Misfit Toys Trail! (Special time, special pricing!)

Start: Behind TGI Fridays 6751-B Frontier Dr, Springfield, VA 22150

Time: 430PM

Hares: Charlie-in-the-Box (Tour duh Whore) and the Spotted Elephant (Pay Per View)

Directions: 
Metro: Blue line to Franconia/Springfield station. Walk (frogger-style) towards Springfield Town Center, TGI Fridays will be on your right as soon as you cross under the Franconia/Springfield Parkway.

Driving: From points South: take I95 North to exit 169A/B towards VA-644 (Franconia Road). TGI Fridays on the opposite side of mall. From points North: Take I395 to I95, immediately take exit for VA-644 (Franconia Road), once on Franconia take a right onto Frontier Drive. When in doubt use a Navi.

PRELUBE:  Starts at 2pm!!!  TGI Fridays!!!
Other details: Trail is A to B. Stroller, dog and misfit friendly. Costumes and ugly sweaters encouraged. No shiggy with the exception of inflatables in the yards. We will encounter some spirits of Christmas, so stumbling is possible.

On – In: 5951 Franconia Road Alexandria VA

Do not come to the house early, you will be “home alone” with no beer! We prefer cars being left at Franconia-Springfield Metro or Springfield Town Center (formerly Springfield Mall). If you simply MUST park near the end, park in either Edison HS, Franconia ES or along Villa Street. DO NOT PARK ON EM ST. PLEASE!

Where: PITA’s parents house (9600 old spring rd. Kensington, MD) The corner of E Bexhill and Old Spring rd. The driveway is off E. Bexhill and the house has a waterfall down the front lawn.

How much: $6

Trail Details: Dress in your best holiday apparel. Prelube starts at 4:00pm, trail starts at 5 for a walk to the Mormon Temple to enjoy all the beautiful Christmas lights.

On-After: Drink and hang out by the bonfire till the beer runs out. Then to Bar Louie if you’re still up for more drinking.

Side note: Brookland, Fort Totten, and Takoma will be closed this weekend. However, shuttles will be provided. If you have any questions, or you need a ride from Forest Glen Metro call PITA at 301-412-3215

Hares: The Outgoing GMs – Duckbill & LNDT (and her sidekick, Spelunker)

Where: Doc Strangelove’s House – 10970 Rice Field Place, Fairfax Station, VA 22039

How Much: $6 if you bring a dish to share; $10 if you don’t

Also Bring: A present for exchange – don’t spend more than $20. We’re hashers, and we’re cheap; however, don’t just bring trash — please be creative!

Trail Description: A merry jaunt through streets and shiggy. Walkers & runners trails are between 2-4 miles in length (so it doesn’t take us long to get right to feasting & presents). Tough stroller friendly.

Hares: Late Nite & Spelunker

How Much: $6

Trail Description:  expect hills but a short-ish trail for runners (3+ miles), stroller and dog friendly (please be aware that we have 2 large dogs at our house though)

On-After: La Casita Pupuseria  8214 Piney Branch Rd Silver Spring, MD

Note about metro:  The closest metro, Takoma, will be closed on 11/25 – if you plan to take public transportation, catch the free shuttle from Fort Totten to the other stops north of that point on the red line.  Our house is equally between both Takoma & Silver Spring metro stations, but the terrain is pretty flat from Silver Spring vs. the rolling hills from Takoma.

Start directions: Find wankers in the parking lot

Trail Description:  Dog friendly, not really a walker trail (yet), but easy to do a stroller friendly trail nearby.

Start: Riverdale Community Park, 5400 Haig Dr, Riverdale, MD 20737

Hares: Snail

How Much: $6

Trail Description: It will be dog friendly, but because of the anticipated temperatures, will have a reasonably short circle at the end.

On-further on: Franklins General Store (5123 Baltimore Ave, Hyattsville, MD 20781) is a bi-level brew pub with a quirky gift shop.

Cost: $6.
 
Other Trail Deets: A to A’. Expect some shiggy. We may have an impromptu beer check so plan on brining extra $$$ and your ID. We are still working on trail deets and let you know at the start if you should bring them.
 
On After: Port City Brewery or Los Toltecos. We’re working on it..
 
Directions: From I395, take Duke Street exit heading east towards Old Town Alexandria. Take a right onto Somervelle Street, take it all the way to the end to the large parking lot and look for wankers.
