PHAT BOY HASH!

When: Saturday, October 28, 2017 – 2:00 PM

Cost $9 – On After Food will be provided

Trail Description:

After a multi year absence, DCH4 is proud to bring back the Dennis Avenue Phat Boy hash. The Phat Boy is a combination live hare/pick up trail with shot or drink checks every couple of minutes. We will literally be dragging a cooler on wheels around the Dennis Ave. Silver Spring area. This is NOT a traditional hash so I wasn’t planning to set a runners/walker trail as the primary objective here is to haul the Phat boy from place to place in the neighborhood and imbibe in various types of beverages. This is an A to A trail.

If you really want to do a run/walk I will set a short trail but only if wankers really want me to.

On after: Will be at CC’s and Front Office’s back yard for on-after food, fire pit, s’mores, and plenty of quality beer etc.

Start Directions:

From Beltway 495 exit Georgia Ave. MD 97 North, at third light make a right on Dennis Ave. Go 1 mile to first light – Inwood Ave. make a left, house is top of the hill on the left, 10426, park on Inwood.

Metro – take Red Line to Forest Glen station. Call Count Crackula and he can pick you up at Metro which is 1 mile from the house.

What: Runner and walker trails. A to D
Where: Start 3rd level Glenmont Metro [old/east] garage, 12501 Georgia Avenue

Hares? Standard Deviant (Deev), 1000 Watt Twat, Just Fey
How much? $6
On After: Deev’s, bring stuff to eat and drink, there may be a grill
As dog friendly as it is people friendly. Strollers not advised.

Trail Description: A-A, Mild shiggy. Walker’s trail. Beer check. (I’m sure there is very little new territory for experienced DCH4 hashers.) Might be nano-brew(s) at the end. Bring your drinking vessel!

DCH4 Trail #1972: 9/30/17 10am – Crownsville, MD

Note the special start time of 10am!!  This is a joint trail with MVH3

Theme:  Pirate’s Day at the Renaissance Faire.   AARGH!!  Dress to cum aboard or be boarded! Pirate and Renn Faire attire!  Parrots optional.

Where:  Revel Grove Parking Lot, 1781 Crownsville Road, Crownsville, MD.

Beginning Circle Location: Look for wankers next to the handicap parking area and the port-a-loos.  We won’t be the funny looking ones this time!

Hares:  For Sale or Rent, Doc Strangelove, Guernsey Gripper, and French Toasted

How Much: $6.00 US.  assorted beverages and a groaning board of food

 

Trail Description: A to A.  Shiggy level low, relatively dry trail with a few marshy areas.  A couple of very shallow streams with rocks and logs as stepping stones. Runner’s possibility of some brambles or PI: Not much but come prepared.  Bag vehicle provided if you’d like to change at pavilion or walk back to your car before entering faire.  Flashlights are great if stay till closing.

Dog Friendly Factor: Leashed on trail and at end. Not in faire.

Stroller Friendly Factor:  WALKER’S TRAIL has some tough sections.  There is a workaround.

Other notes:

Directions:

From the Washington, D.C. Beltway:

East on Rt 50 to EXIT 23, Parole [this is exit for Annapolis Mall]

RIGHT at end of ramp.  Continue straight on Rt 178, General’s Highway. Do NOT turn onto Defense Highway, Rt 450 – you will be stuck in traffic forever)

Go past the mall, fair grounds and Ram’s Head Tavern, in less than one mile past tavern, LEFT on Honeysuckle Lane.

LEFT on Crownsville Road.  LEFT into the faire grounds.

 

From Baltimore , MD
Take I-95 South to the Baltimore Beltway (I-695).
Follow the Beltway South to Exit 4 (Route 3 and I-97 South). Stay left on I-97 South to Annapolis as it splits from Route 3.

Take Exit 5 from I-97 (Route 178 to Crownsville).
Turn right at the third light onto Crownsville Road. (Crownsville State Hospital is at the intersection and you can only turn right.) Follow Crownsville Road for 1-1/2 miles and the Festival entrance is on left.

Despite the last minute announcement, there will be a trail this weekend. It’s in DC:

What: A last minute DCH4 trail in DC. It’ll be damp.

 
Where: Start location is behind 1111 Staples St NE, Washington, DC 20002 (aka the back yard of Chez Assfix)
 
Who: Duckbill Cookiepuss, mystery co-hare. (Anyone want to play the role of mystery co-hare?). Assfixiation is generously providing her backyard.
 
How Much: $6
Why: Because we can’t NOT have a trail…
Trail deets: A to A. Dog friendly. Maybe not stroller friendly. Who am I kidding, I don’t know where the hell we’re going yet. I think it’ll be wet outside, so plan accordingly.

The dangerous duo strike again!
Start location:
Park at BJ’s in Bowie
16520 Ballpark Rd, Bowie, MD 20716
Then look for us in the grassy area between the parking lot and the road.
Hares: Math Sucks and EMT
Trail deets:
Trail will be A to A’. Enough shiggy to make EMT happy, not so much to make Math want to cry. Shiggy socks recommended. Trail will be tough dog friendly, not stroller-friendly. If you’re afraid of heights, thorns, boy scouts, scary old abandoned barns, baseballs, or homeless people living in the woods, this may not be the trail for you.
Directions:
Metro: Sorry, NOT metro accessible.
From MD take 495 E to US 50, take 50 towards Annapolis, then take the 301-South exit. Follow signs for the Bowie Baysox Stadium (left on Ballpark Rd). You’ll see Home Depot and then BJ’s.
From VA either take 395/295 to US 50 East or the 495 outer loop to US 50 East, towards Annapolis, then take the 301-South exit. Follow signs for the Bowie Baysox Stadium (left on Ballpark Rd). You’ll see Home Depot and then BJ’s.
