Where:

RFK Stadium Lot 6, near the entrance to Kingman Island park. Entrance off of Oklahoma Ave SE or Benning Road SE. Public transit, take the Blue/Orange/Silver to Stadium Armory or a variety of buses to Stadium Armory (96, B2, D6)

Who:Duckbill Cookiepuss, mystery co-hare (seriously, who is going to co-hare)

Why:Why not?

Trail Details:

A to A-ish. Dog friendly. Probably not stroller friendly. There may be a farmers market near the trail start, so you may have to park along Oklahoma ave if you’re driving.

Nearest metro: Ballston (orange/silver) Rides available from metro

Theme: Its my Bday trail, Halloween, Erection horrors.

Hares: Cheese Jizz and Mellow Forskin Cheese.

Bring out your birthday gear if you are a Novemember birthday like me. Otherwise bring out those amazing Hilldabeast and Drumpf costumes from last weekend as we drink to not remember this election cycle. Remember we are in Arlington so bringing only your Johnson(its a third party joke) is a faux pas apparently. Weather is looking good 50-mid 60s right now. Bring change of clothes if needed. Trail should be dry but shiggy is a 5/10 for runners. Stroller friendly alternative trail is available.

Trails are dog friendly, but neither trail is stroller friendly (yes, the walkers will get shiggy too).

Runner’s are advised to bring a dry bag. Just in case.

Visit sites of the real exorcism in Hyattsville that inspired the movie! PLUS, you’ll visit a brewery and a chocolate factory, dueling grounds, ice cream truck graveyard, and go-karts! Come in your best puke-soaked pajamas.

Stroller Friendly: WALKER’S TRAIL has a few tough sections.  There is a workaround.

PLAN ON A LONG FUN FILLED DAY

The Pub Sing at White Hart Tavern is great!  Get there before 6 PM to find a seat. 
DON’T FORGET A FLASHLIGHT If you stay to the end it will be dark and there were no street lights in King Henry’s day!  Bring a CAMERA – lots of interesting entertainment to memorialize.
From inside Washington , D.C:
East on Rt 50 to Davidsonville exit. 
LEFT at end of ramp.
    (scenery note –  after going over Rt 50 look for mum’s in artistic design on right)
RIGHT on Route 450 East. 
LEFT on Crownsville Road at light. (There is a Quick Mart convenience store at the intersection.)
Proceed 1/2 mile and the Festival is on the right. 
            OR a little longer but way less traffic      go all the way to EXIT 23, Parole
RIGHT at end of ramp
Continure straight on Rt 178, General’s Highway.
LEFT on Honeysuckle
LEFT on Crownsville Road
Immediate LEFT into the faire grounds.

DCH4 Trail 1925: O to 0 Shiggy

Start: Outside the L’Enfant Metro (by Starbucks) on the middle plaza level, D St. SW  Map URL

Parking: Most street parking on L’Enfant Plaza St – the elevated one.

Metro:  Yellow, Green, Silver, Blue, Orange  Directions: Make sure you exit the Metro at the L’Enfant Plaza exit, near the shops and Starbucks. Alternate exits will force you to walk around HUGE buildings.

Hares: Teenie Bopper, Cleavage to Beaver, and Fire in the Hole

Cost: $6

Trail Deets: A to A prime, Dogs on leash, strollers only if you don’t mind massive stairs. 0 shiggy – wear your running shoes!

Mis-directions

Metro: Take the red line to Wheaton Metro station.  Follow marks to Bar Louie

Driving:   Take the beltway to Georgia Avenue Northbound.  Go approximately 2 miles to turn left (use the far left lane) onto Viers Mill Rd and immediately turn left  into Westfield Mall.  You should see Wendy’s & the AMC sign. Bar Louie is next to it.
