Note!  We are not hosting a trail on Sept 23rd due to DC Red Dress Run.  Quick plug-in for our next trail on Sept 30th.

The DCH4 9/30 trail will be co-hosted with MVH3 and is the annual MD RennFest trail, which has a special start time of 10am.  9/30 will be the MD RennFest’s pirate weekend, which is a very popular weekend for the event.  If you want to enter the RennFest following trail, please pre-purchase your tickets!  They are available through their website: https://www.rennfest.com/tickets

Greetings DCH4!
Despite the last minute announcement, there will be a trail this weekend. It’s in DC:

What: A last minute DCH4 trail in DC. It’ll be damp.

 
Where: Start location is behind 1111 Staples St NE, Washington, DC 20002 (aka the back yard of Chez Assfix)
 
Who: Duckbill Cookiepuss, mystery co-hare. (Anyone want to play the role of mystery co-hare?). Assfixiation is generously providing her backyard.
 
How Much: $6
Why: Because we can’t NOT have a trail…
Trail deets: A to A. Dog friendly. Maybe not stroller friendly. Who am I kidding, I don’t know where the hell we’re going yet. I think it’ll be wet outside, so plan accordingly.

The dangerous duo strike again!
Start location:
Park at BJ’s in Bowie
16520 Ballpark Rd, Bowie, MD 20716
Then look for us in the grassy area between the parking lot and the road.
Hares: Math Sucks and EMT
Trail deets:
Trail will be A to A’. Enough shiggy to make EMT happy, not so much to make Math want to cry. Shiggy socks recommended. Trail will be tough dog friendly, not stroller-friendly. If you’re afraid of heights, thorns, boy scouts, scary old abandoned barns, baseballs, or homeless people living in the woods, this may not be the trail for you.
Directions:
Metro: Sorry, NOT metro accessible.
From MD take 495 E to US 50, take 50 towards Annapolis, then take the 301-South exit. Follow signs for the Bowie Baysox Stadium (left on Ballpark Rd). You’ll see Home Depot and then BJ’s.
From VA either take 395/295 to US 50 East or the 495 outer loop to US 50 East, towards Annapolis, then take the 301-South exit. Follow signs for the Bowie Baysox Stadium (left on Ballpark Rd). You’ll see Home Depot and then BJ’s.

Trail for Saturday 7/29 will be a House of Da Nasty trail!
Start: Side parking lot of House of Dynasty (Da Nasty) 7550 Telegraph Rd, Alexandria, VA 22315

Time: 2PM

Hare: Pay Per View

Cost: $6

Trail Deets: Supposed to be pouring this weekend so bring dry clothes. Expect a shorter trail. Want a longer trail? Volunteer to help hare! If not, will probably be one trail for both walkers and runners (approx 3 miles). Expect shiggy/mud. Expect downpours. Dog friendly, strollers see the hare for options. Bring bug spray.

On On On: TBD but maybe Bungalow or something at the Springfield Town Center (Chuy’s?)

It’s hot, hot, hot in the District, and what better way to enjoy it than with a damp, sweaty trail. See below for deets:
Where: Fletcher’s Cove Boathouse (4940 Canal Rd NW, Wash DC). Drivers click the link for the map. Public transitters, there’s a WMATA bus stop on MacArthur drive (D4 and D5 buses)
When: Saturday July 22, 2017 at 2pm
What: A trail at Fletcher’s Cove!  A to A’ starting form the upper parking area at Fletcher’s Cove Boathouse. Runners might get their feet wet. Head lamps highly recommended for runners. Walkers trail is dog friendly, runners trail not so much. Hash Cash: $6
